Copious annotations in a volume consisting of p. 321-464 of Lodovico Domenichi's Facetie, motti, et burle di diversi signori et persone private (Venice : Appresso Andrea Muschio, 1571) and Lodovico Guiccardini's Detti, et fatti piacevoli et gravi, di diversi principi filosofi, et cortigiani (Venice : Appresso Christoforo de'Zanetti, 1571). Includes cross-references to numerous other works and authors, including Philip Sidney and the "the Tragedie of Hamlet; Richard 3" (leaf 162r). Also includes commentary on politics and the monarchy, and notes outlining Harvey's strategies for his self-improvement and study. At the end of the volume, a list of books for civilized elocution ("Propria Eulogi bibliotheca ... 1590"), including many of the authors already praised in the margins.
